The mission of Wallan Gateway Church is to CONNECT – GROW – SERVE – SHARE

CONNECT

Our aim is to have everyone connect with and experience God in ALL His Glory.

God is perfect powerful and personal

The Bible tells us: “He is the Rock. His work is perfect. Everything He does is just and fair.” (Deuteronomy 32:4)

God created the world, which reflects His magnificence, balance and beauty

“For God created the heavens and the earth and put everything in place… He made the world to live in and not be an empty chaos.” (Isaiah 45:18)

God created you to know Him personally

The Bible tells us: “You created every part of me and put me together in my mother’s womb.” (Psalm 139:13-14)

God loves you

“For God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son so that anyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

God’s purpose for you

[Christ is speaking] “My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.” (John 10:10)

GROW

Our desire is for everyone to grow deeper in their relationship with God.

Pray. Go to Jesus in prayer, talk to Him each day. (Philippians 4:6,7)

Read God’s Word every day. The best way to get to know His heart (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Obey God when you know what is right. (John 14:21)

Tell others about your faith in Christ by your life and words. (1 Peter 3:15-16)

Trust God for every detail of your life. (1 Peter 5:7).

Holy Spirit – This is God’s Spirit living in you. Allow Him to give you His power to live your life and to share His love for all (Galatians 5:16,17; Acts 1:8).

Be with others who are Connecting with God. The Bible tells us not to forget the importance of meeting together with other Christians (Hebrews 10:25).

SERVE

Our desire is to see people serve God by serving others.

Serving the Community

Serve the community in practical everyday ways. We intend to seek out those who, through whatever circumstances, are ‘doing it tough’ and to be Jesus to them.

Sharing Jesus & Making Disciples

Evangelism is about sharing the love of Christ with everyone – in word and in action. Let those you meet with each day, see Jesus in you.

We are all commanded to go and make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). This mission, as Christians, is the greatest thing you can do for another person, as it carries eternal significance.

Serving God’s Church

As Christians we are called to a ministry in the body of believers and a mission to the world. Each of us is shaped and gifted by God to fulfil our part in His great plan. Find the blessing of losing yourself in serving Jesus by serving others. Though we are saved only by His grace He also calls us to good works – not to earn salvation but to encourage and equip others.

SHARE

Tell others about your faith in Christ by your life and words. (1 Peter 3:15-16)
